{"id":134,"date":"2009-08-22T18:24:46","date_gmt":"2009-08-22T22:24:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.matthewmosher.us\/blog\/?p=134"},"modified":"2009-08-22T18:24:46","modified_gmt":"2009-08-22T22:24:46","slug":"allison-sweet-at-five15-arts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mosher.art\/blog\/art\/allison-sweet-at-five15-arts\/","title":{"rendered":"Allison Sweet at Five15 Arts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the spirit of continuing my tradition of being involved with public porn whenever I move to a new place, be it the &#8220;feminist&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.portlandmercury.com\/film\/sex-pdx\/Content?oid=905027\">SexPDX Festival<\/a> in Porland OR or being filmed for Michael Oatman&#8217;s &#8220;soft porn&#8221; at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.massmoca.org\/event_details.php?id=371\">Mass MoCA<\/a>, I attended <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alisonsweet.blogspot.com\/\">Allison Sweet&#8217;s<\/a> opening last night at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.515arts.com\/currentShow.html\">Five15 Gallery<\/a> in downtown Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Allison Sweet\" src=\"http:\/\/www.515arts.com\/AlisonSweet\/myspace_face.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"439\" height=\"295\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Really nice work!  Allison makes wall mounted light boxes to hold a series of old 16mm film strips.  The boxes are fascinating because you nearly have to have your nose touching the glass to see the individual frames, at which point you realize it&#8217;s shots from a soda commercial, electrician training video, or a porn movie.
