I’ve decided to make a boat as a summer project. I fell in love with the geodesic aerolite boats after seeing some of Matthias Pliessnig’s steam bent benches that use the same building techniques. I decided to go for the Classic 12 as it can seat three and I’ve always wanted to learn to sail. It may be odd the build a boat in the desert, but I’ll just let you ponder that one.

Here are some photos from my initial set up, making a 14′ box beam to ships the boat on upside down, and the 5 station forms to make up the shape of the boat. Platt, the plan maker, recommends usinf cardboard but I used OSB since I had so much left over from The gallery is no place for artists.
