Now we need to take one of your team’s paper prototypes and evolve it into a high fidelity (HiFi) prototype.  HiFi prototypes give us a clear sense of the aesthetics, flow of the design, and functionality without needing being 100% “working” as an implementation prototype would be.  What I will be looking for is:

  • Aesthetically complete in terms of color selection, images, icons, typography, and layout.
  • Functioning “clickable” navigation to different pages / views / areas of the application.
  • Accepts user input.
  • Responds to user input.  (Though this can be a bit baked, not fully dynamic.)

I’m not looking for a complete php / MySQL database storing / retrieving system (though you certainly can if you’d like to).  To create this HiFi prototype I encourage you to use which ever tools you are most comfortable with.  Some possibilities include:

  • An interactive PDF document made with Photoshop, Fireworks, and Acrobat.
  • A website built with HTML and CSS.
  • A website taking advantage of existing CMS / frameworks such as WordPress or Bootstrap.
  • An interactive Flash / Actionscript application.
  • Other UI/UX tools.
